Mesmerising skies of the East African Savannas
As we spent the best part of 2 weeks driving around the Savannas of Tanzania and Kenya, the wildlife and cultural experiences etched themselves indelibly on our psyches. But I will be missing out enormously if I do not talk about how our days started and ended with some mesmerising skies. Incredible colors and cloud formations at various times of the day were an unmistakable garnishing on this visual extravaganza. Focused deeply on our animal sightings, we could have missed paying attention to the skies above and the landscape of thousands of acres of the grasslands , but the sky constantly knocked our senses awake into paying them the much needed attention. I tried capturing some moments of this colourful drama nature was playing all the time. Here are a few glimpses. Tanzania and Kenya are not merely animal sightings, the Big 5, the great crossing, the culturally rich tribes and a lot of human and geological history. They are as much their cornucopia of breathtaking skies, and kaladiescope of colour palettes.
